OSC brought the roots of the Nike brand – and a nod to Nike’s historical relationship with Japan – to Tokyo’s headquarters. Expanding on the concept that “there is no finish line,” we designed the space so that no two areas share the same view. With the Eugene Library, OSC also told the story of Steve “Pre” Prefontaine’s trail, and created visual disruption with product and graphics throughout the space. To enhance this disruption, we created a moire effect from metal shoebox forms. The result is a bold and interactive wall that tells the story of Nike’s relationship with Japan, beginning in 1955 and leaving room for future experiences and successes.
